About SmartRM.AI

Comprehensive record-making for the modern courtroom

We build SmartRM for the people who make the court record: reporters, monitors, judges, clerks, schedulers and transcript staff. It is shaped by decades of doing that work, in court.

The problem

The record can’t wait, and courts are running short

The judicial system faces challenges in efficiently capturing, producing and managing court transcripts, and it slows down the judicial process.

Labor problems

There is a shortage of court reporters, and the workforce continues to shrink. Courtrooms still need a record every day.

Transcription hassles

Transcription is slow, and a labor-intensive process makes the delays worse for everyone waiting on a transcript.

Constraint difficulties

Digital solutions are expensive, and too often a court has to bend its practice around the system instead of the other way round.

What sets us apart

Built around your court, not the other way round

Flexibility

Let’s work together to build the solution that fits your needs. Start with recording and add what your court uses.

Affordability

Digital solutions greatly reduce overhead costs, and with everything in one system one person can cover several jobs, such as scheduling, transcript production and billing.

Support

It’s not just about installing the system. It’s about a smooth implementation and a working process that lasts.

Integration

We will work to improve, build on top of, or transition out of the systems a court already has.

Phased rollout

How we work with a court

From the first conversation to a system people rely on every day, in five phases.

Before deploymentProduct is live
  1. Research and planningWhat is necessary, what is feasible, and the dream state. A project plan with milestones.
  2. DevelopmentBuild the core. Put strict, agreed security measures in place to protect the data.
  3. Testing and validationExtensive testing of the new system, with feedback from beta users folded in.
  4. Deployment and trainingGo live, with training sessions for every role and ongoing support.
  5. Evaluation and improvementWatch how it performs, keep gathering feedback, and keep improving.

Justice will be accessible, fair, effective, responsive and accountable, which is what SmartRM.AI is here for.
